CR projects

Safety is our priority, it shows direction in all company’s activities and all decisions are based on safety criteria. Cooperation with firefighters brigades is a proof that ArcelorMittal Poland is carrying out strategy which puts safety first. Local communities and our plants benefit from equipment or cars bought for firefighters.

We focus on several areas while investing in local communities, where education remains the key one. We’ve chosen education not only because of its role in creating modern society but also in response to the needs of local communities and local authorities. Over 70 educational projects implemented in primary and secondary schools, universities but also in kindergartens and nurseries make ArcelorMittal Poland not only a very active member of local life but also the supporter of educational activities in Silesia, Malopolska and Opolszczyzna regions.

Health is one of the main ArcelorMittal social responsibility pillars. We know that the needs of medical institutions are usually much higher than their financial capabilities. Therefore, it is immensely rewarding that our engagement in joint projects gives more possibilities to diagnose and treat patients and, by this, to satisfy at least part of these needs.

We try not to limit our activities only to new ecological investments. Our aim is to shape attitude among employees and our neighbors. That is why we join or initiate cleaning of green areas, tree planting or even old stove collection.

Sport is as important for ArcelorMittal Poland as education or health promotion. However the company does not promote professional sport, but supports local initiatives, in which everyone can participate. Our aim is to encourage our employees, their families and all local societies to adopt a healthy lifestyle. To do so, we cooperate with TKKF Amateur Sport Associations in Dąbrowa Górnicza and Kraków. It brings tangible effects. Our employees engage themselves in many activities, such as shooting competitions or football matches. Many also take part in the annual half-marathon in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
